Using FileJuggler.online

FileJuggler.online is provided as a free, on demand browser based file organization tool. The service is designed to help users organize selected local files and folders using supported browser capabilities.

Depending on available features and browser support, you may be able to scan a selected folder, review file metadata, organize files by type, sort files by extension, create custom rules, move files, copy files, rename files, create destination folders, preview proposed changes, review completed operations, and undo certain supported actions during the current session.

You remain responsible for deciding which folders to select, which rules to create, and which operations to approve.

Authorized files and folders

You may use FileJuggler.online only with files, folders, devices, and storage locations that you own or are authorized to manage.

You must not use the service to access, modify, copy, move, rename, organize, or otherwise interact with files when you do not have permission to do so. This includes files belonging to employers, clients, organizations, other individuals, shared systems, or managed devices where your authorization does not permit the intended operation.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of FileJuggler.online complies with applicable permissions, agreements, policies, and laws.

Review before applying changes

FileJuggler.online is designed to provide an organization preview before supported file operations are applied. You should review this preview carefully.

Before applying an operation that modifies your selected folder, confirm that the correct folder is selected, the rules are configured correctly, destination folders are appropriate, the expected files are matched, unexpected files are not included, filename changes are correct, conflict settings are appropriate, and the proposed organization structure is acceptable.

Do not apply an organization plan if the preview contains changes you do not understand or do not intend to make.

Back up important files

You should maintain backups of important files before performing significant file organization operations. FileJuggler.online may include safeguards, previews, conflict handling, verification, and limited undo functionality, but these features are not substitutes for a reliable backup.

File operations can be affected by browser crashes, computer shutdowns, storage device errors, unexpected permission changes, operating system problems, disk disconnection, insufficient storage space, concurrent file modifications, browser bugs, file locking, corrupted files, interrupted write operations, or other software changing files at the same time.

If your folder contains valuable business documents, personal photographs, project files, financial records, original media, or other irreplaceable information, maintain a separate backup before reorganizing those files.

Undo and recovery limitations

FileJuggler.online may provide an Undo feature for certain operations recorded during the current browser session. Undo functionality is limited and may depend on the original file still existing, destination paths remaining accessible, browser permissions remaining active, and no conflicting changes occurring after the original operation.

Undo may not be available after closing the browser tab, reloading the page, closing the browser, revoking folder permissions, moving or renaming files using another application, changing relevant destination folders, restarting the device, or clearing browser data.

Undo should not be treated as guaranteed file recovery and may not be able to restore destination contents that were overwritten or recover data lost because of storage failure or external modification.

Partial operations

A large file organization job may contain many separate operations. If processing is interrupted, some operations may complete while others remain unfinished.

For example, if hundreds of files are scheduled to be moved and the browser closes before processing completes, the folder may contain a combination of organized and unorganized files.

If an operation is interrupted, review the activity information, inspect the affected folders, and rescan before attempting another organization. Do not assume that an interrupted job was either completely successful or completely reversed.

Browser permissions

Direct folder access depends on browser functionality. FileJuggler.online does not have unrestricted access to your computer. You must explicitly select a folder and approve the relevant permission when prompted by your browser.

Your browser may control whether the website receives read access, write access, or no access. You may be able to revoke permissions through browser settings. If you decline a required permission, some organizer features will not work.

FileJuggler.online cannot bypass browser permission restrictions.

Browser compatibility

Not every browser supports the file system capabilities required for direct local file organization. The website may remain accessible in browsers that do not support those features, while the actual organizer is unavailable or limited.

FileJuggler.online does not guarantee compatibility with every browser, browser version, operating system, filesystem, external storage device, network drive, mobile device, or file type.

For the best results, use a supported modern browser and review any compatibility notice displayed by the organizer.

Local processing and no background monitoring

The core FileJuggler.online organizer is designed to process supported file operations locally through your browser. Files selected for organization do not normally need to be uploaded to an application server.

FileJuggler.online is an on demand web application. It is not a permanently installed background file monitoring service, does not continue organizing folders after the relevant browser page or session ends, and does not install a Windows service or system agent.

Features the service does not provide

Unless a future version clearly states otherwise, FileJuggler.online is not designed to run Windows commands, execute EXE files, execute PowerShell, run shell scripts, modify the Windows Registry, install software, monitor folders after the browser session closes, recover deleted files from disk sectors, repair corrupted storage devices, replace professional backup software, provide antivirus protection, provide malware scanning, or access folders without browser permission.

Users should not rely on FileJuggler.online for functionality outside its intended browser based file organization workflow.

Rule accuracy

File organization rules operate according to the conditions and actions configured by the user and the metadata made available by the browser. A rule can produce unexpected results if it is configured too broadly.

For example, a rule that matches every PDF file may affect PDFs you did not intend to organize. A filename rule containing a broad word may match more files than expected. You are responsible for reviewing rule conditions and the resulting preview before approving operations.

File conflicts

File operations may encounter an existing file with the same name at the destination. Depending on available functionality, FileJuggler.online may offer conflict handling options such as keeping both files, skipping the incoming file, replacing the existing file, or automatically renaming the incoming file.

You are responsible for selecting an appropriate conflict setting. Replacing an existing file can result in permanent data loss. If you are unsure, use a non destructive option such as keeping both files or skipping the conflicting operation.

Prohibited uses

You must not use FileJuggler.online in a way that intentionally harms the website, other users, third party systems, or services.

You must not attempt to circumvent website security controls, exploit vulnerabilities, interfere with normal website operation, introduce malicious code, use automated traffic in a way that disrupts availability, misrepresent yourself as the operator of FileJuggler.online, use the service for unauthorized access to files or systems, or use the service for unlawful activity.

Normal use of the file organizer, guides, and public website pages is permitted.

Availability and free service

FileJuggler.online is provided on an availability basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be online, uninterrupted, error free, or unchanged.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of hosting maintenance, software updates, technical failures, security issues, infrastructure outages, browser changes, feature maintenance, network conditions, or other operational reasons.

FileJuggler.online currently provides its core file organization service without requiring payment. The availability of free functionality does not create an obligation to maintain every current feature permanently.

Website content and guides

FileJuggler.online may publish guides, tutorials, explanations, examples, FAQs, and other educational content relating to file organization. This content is provided for general informational purposes.

Examples used in guides may not be appropriate for every filesystem, folder structure, browser, organization, or workflow. Users should adapt instructions to their own circumstances and review proposed file changes before applying them.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the original website design, branding, written content, organization workflows, interface elements, and other original materials published by FileJuggler.online are owned by or licensed to the operator of FileJuggler.online.

References to third party products, software, brands, or trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Independent project

FileJuggler.online is an independent browser based file organization service. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, associated with, or endorsed by the creators of the File Juggler desktop software.

File Juggler is an existing desktop software product owned by its respective creators. References to File Juggler on FileJuggler.online may be used for descriptive, informational, or comparative purposes.

This may include loss resulting from incorrect file organization, accidental file replacement, interrupted operations, loss of folder access, browser failures, storage failures, loss of undo history, user configured rules, third party software, device problems, or failure to maintain backups.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

Your responsibility

Ultimately, you remain responsible for your files. FileJuggler.online provides tools that help you plan and perform file organization operations, but you decide which folder to select, which rules to use, which files to organize, which destination to choose, which conflict policy to apply, whether to approve the preview, and whether adequate backups exist.

Use the preview carefully and maintain backups of files that are important to you.
